Batista made his return to WWE with a bang a couple of weeks ago, attacking Ric Flair backstage at his 70th birthday party while all of his friends watched helplessly from the ring.
And while the physical damage was clearly done to Flair, Batista had a second target in mind, screaming to Triple H after the attack, demanding to know if he had The Game’s attention.
Ever since then, Triple H has been impatiently awaiting The Animal’s reappearance, anxious to avenge his friend and former Evolution teammate.
Finally, on his terms, not Triple H’s, Batista again returned to Raw, this time surrounded by a large team of hired security. The Animal and The Game’s conversation quickly devolved into a shouting match, Batista ordering Triple H to “give him what he wanted” and Triple H doing his best to make Batista come close enough to strike.
In the end, both men got what they wanted. Batista got a match against Triple H at WrestleMania 35, and Triple H granted himself the ability to inflict the most pain possible, giving it a No Holds Barred stipulation.
