This was a high-quality match, which is what we’ve come to expect from 205 Live. Daivari got the heat early and often, beating down Ali for the majority of the bout. Ali’s ability to sell is really what makes him a special babyface; he’s extremely talented in that regard.
Daivari worked the knee and hit a brutal spinebuster on the floor, but it wasn’t enough to get the win. Ali got the pinfall following a beautiful 054.
Winner: Mustafa Ali
Buddy Murphy Fails to Make Weight
THE BAD NEWS: Unfortunately, @WWE_Murphy was unable to make the 205-pound weight limit; therefore, he must wait for a later date to re-qualify for in-ring competition in the #Cruiserweight division. #205Live pic.twitter.com/eTUq3teS7g

General Manager Drake Maverick announced that Buddy Murphy failed to make weight, meaning that he has been suspended from competition for the time being. We’re huge Buddy Murphy fans, so hopefully this isn’t something that will keep him off of our television screens for long.
Maverick also announced a gauntlet match for next week, with the winner of said match earning the opportunity to face Cedric Alexander for the Cruiserweight Championship at the Greatest Royal Rumble event a few days later.
Jack Gallagher and Brian Kendrick vs. ???
This dastardly duo is back together, and they have a tag team match together RIGHT NOW on @WWENetwork! #205Live @mrbriankendrick @GentlemanJackG pic.twitter.com/tSJ9B50g8W

Jack Gallagher and Brian Kendrick faced off against two local performers whose names we did not hear.
Kendrick got the win for his team via the Captain’s Hook in quick fashion.
Winner: Jack Gallagher and Brian Kendrick
Hype For the Gauntlet Match Rises
Drew Gulak and Mustafa Ali announced their participation in next week’s gauntlet match. Both guys are awesome promos, so it’s no surprise that they were the only two stars allowed to talk on the microphone tonight. Playing to everyone’s strengths is always a smart move.
Lucha House Party vs. Hideo Itami and Akira Tozawa
Tornado Tag Team Match

Our main event of the evening featured Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik taking on Hideo Itami and Akira Tozawa. This match took place under tornado tag rules, which means that every man was legal/in the ring at the same time. Obviously, that made things extremely eventful, and very hard to capture in writing without being wordy.
To keep things simple, we’ll just say this: what a fun match to watch. There was a lot going on, but the in-ring action was phenomenal. Lucha House Party got the win. If you watch one WWE match from this week, make sure it’s this one.
Winners: Lucha House Party
