This match, which took place on the first NXT TakeOver special days after the launch of the WWE Network, set the wrestling world on fire. Soon after, NXT was the talk of the town, and bouts like this are exactly why fans fell in love with the yellow brand.

We’ve talked about Sami Zayn’s chemistry with both Cesaro and Kevin Owens already. Throw in The Miz, who is an excellent heel to Zayn’s superb babyface, and you’ve got yourself an awesome fatal 4-way match for my favorite title in WWE.

WrestleMania 32
Multi-man ladder matches at WrestleMania are my jam, and this one was a show-stealer. There are death-defying stunts, elements of storytelling, and total brutality throughout, i.e., the perfect recipe for an epic ladder match.

NXT TakeOver: Fatal 4-Way
This match is honestly one of my favorite fatal 4-way matches in the history of WWE. Four guys, all excellent in the ring, going at it for the ultimate prize; it doesn’t get any better than that.

Sami Zayn vs. Shinsuke Nakamura
NXT TakeOver: Dallas
This match was my “Match of the Year” for 2016, and for good reason. The action in this one was some of the best stuff I’ve ever seen in a WWE ring. The debut of Shinsuke Nakamura in WWE was a sight to behold, and Sami Zayn bidding the NXT Universe farewell for the main roster was as emotional as it gets. The WrestleMania weekend crowd was pumped for this one, and these performers put on one hell of a show.

NXT TakeOver: R-Evolution
I can honestly say that this match made me a hardcore fan of professional wrestling again. NXT TakeOver: R-Evolution still holds a special place in my heart, and this match is a huge reason why. This is without a doubt Zayn’s best match in WWE, and I cannot wait to see him top it in the future.
